Community of Practice: Race, Privilege, and Equity
Race and privilege impact individuals and communities differently depending on skin color. The world is watching race relations come to the forefront in our history again. Many are curious about their role to effect change. For some, this is the first time of taking a deep dive into topics of race, privilege, and equity. This unfamiliar territory can be intimidating, overwhelming, and complicated. Inspiring Change has created a format where the learning can happen in a safe place guided by an Executive Coach specializing in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our time together will include live learning sessions with lessons to enhance one's ability to practice cultural humility and live in community through the lens of racial equity.
Community of Practice: Race, Privilege, and Equity will...
- Meet live bi-weekly
- Include assignments to reinforce lessons
- Push attendees passed the comfort zone to the learning zone
"Inspiring Change has been absolutely instrumental in my own growth and the growth of my white staff in recognizing and calling out our complicity, silence, and white privilege as we seek to be better accomplices to our coworkers of color and work to change the culture of white supremacy within our Department." -Kathryn Farmer, Director of Crime Victim Services
